Hi, my name is Mark, and I’m humbly asking for help for my wife, Yvonny, as we prepare for her second kidney transplant.

Yvonny had her first kidney transplant in 2007 which allowed her to live a healthy and normal life for many years. But in 2022, she started showing signs of rejection as her immune system reacted to the transplanted kidney, and her condition has slowly gotten worse. Now, she goes through painful dialysis three times a week.

We were able to find a potential donor recently, but the transplant didn’t push through because the donor was found to have kidney stones. As a husband, it hurts to see my beloved wife’s declining quality of life and so I decided to donate my kidney to her.

So far we have done work up tests such as tissue typing, crossmatching, and other diagnostic tests to check my kidneys’ health to determine if we are a match. All these tests as well as her dialysis sessions over the past months have exhausted all our savings. 

Two weeks ago we finished all the tests and we were found to be a match. Praise God I could donate one of my kidneys to my wife! We are now awaiting for our surgery date and still need to prepare payment for the doctors' fees for the transplant, as well as hospital bills and medicine costs that continue to add up (estimated cost is AUD 25,000 or PHP 1 million). 

We currently have no source of income, as we've been living in Brisbane, Australia since 2019 under a work visa and we came home to the Philippines for Yvonny's treatment. Our visa will expire in September 2026, and we're hoping to complete the transplant and recovery while we still have time to return and settle again. The timeline is really tight for the transplant procedures, our recovery, and our visa expiration - but we entrust it all to the Lord's perfect timing.
