Cara is the most loving and caring individual I know. She has always bent over backwards to cook an extra meal, help clean a house, or deliver an extra smile. She goes out of her way to lift others up, but now she needs our help.
Cara was diagnosed with COVID with respiratory failure compounded with bilateral pneumonia, and ended up going to the hospital with low oxygen and trouble breathing. She quickly declined to needing ICU care and bipap. She is still currently in ICU with very slow progress. She is slightly sedated, so we ask nobody contact her so she can concentrate on slow breathing and resting.
We continue to ask for prayers that include prayer for recovery, guidance of medical staff, and calming of anxiety and nerves. We thank you for all those who have already lifted her in prayer, progress is being seen.
I have had several people reach out to see how they can help beyond prayer. Cara has recently started a new job that she absolutely loves, but it is a physical job. She has been off work for two weeks already and I am sure will need quite a bit more time off to recover. In the mean time medical bills will start coming. Cara has always been one to give her last dollar to help a stranger. When she leaves the hospital we hope that she won't have to rush back into work and can properly recover as needed without the financial burden. If you would like to help thank you. Please keep the prayers and positive words coming.
