Covid hit my daughter’s house hard causing a rippling wave affecting their health and their finances.

 As you may know Brittany lost her job a few months ago causing her and Brandon to fall behind on their rent. Brittany was working on building her organizing business while Brandon was rehabbing furniture on the side.

 They were almost caught up when my grandsons both tested positive for COVID-19. That same day Brittany’s symptoms started, escalated quickly, and took her down hard. My son in law, Brandon, took off work to care for the boys.

 Jacoby fell very sick and now also has a secondary infection in his right lung. Due to the shortage of hospital beds, his doctor has him “hospitalizing at home” while he is stable. If he does not show signs of improvement in the next couple of days, he will need to be admitted.

 Respiratory illnesses take time to recover. The doctor estimates that at best we’re at least ten days out before Jacoby is recovered enough to be able to go back to school. Just this best-case scenario will have Brittany out of work for a month since this all started.

 This has been a stressful, exhausting, heartbreaking journey with a sense of helplessness. If you are able to pitch in, at least we can help ease some of the financial stress for Brittany and Brandon. It kills me I can't help care for them.
