This amazing woman, Glennis Deenah (pictured with her then 2 year old daughter, Brianna) was Jay’s “nanny” for 4 years. We lived in NY and she enabled me to go back to work while she cared for Jay like no one else could. Or would! Fast forward 21 years, both Glennis and Brianna are on dialysis, in kidney failure. Until June, Glennis was a nurse in a nursing home, where she contracted covid and is now bedridden. Her joints are so swollen she can’t walk. The other symptoms are too long to list. She is ineligible for unemployment, because she resigned to take a new job, (not in a nursing home.)She exhibited symptoms of the virus 3 days prior to starting this new job. She lives in Florida. She’s never paid a bill late, a day in her life. She put herself through nursing school while raising 3 kids. She now has no income, a landlord who fines her for every day she is late with the rent and no groceries. The Kurnit, Polaner and Kerwin families are circling our wagons. This loving woman was and is a part of our lives. I know this horrible epidemic has robbed so many. I hate to ask, but if you feel you can comfortably spare any donation, no matter how small, it would mean the world to Glennis and Brianna; who I had to beg to let me ask for help on their behalf.
Thank you in advance for any donation, and if unable to help financially, please keep them in your prayers.
