Save Mo Maids - small - woman owned and operated!
Hi Everyone,
Im Ashley Grace. I started Mo’ Maids - a local, woman owned, Chicago cleaning company back in 2013! Fast forward ... we are in 2021 and we have grown more than I could have ever imagined. I was able to stay open during all of 2020 and Covid -19 because cleaning companies are essential - especially because everyone is home more = more germs! My staff and I have struggled through the last year but have made it out. I make sure proper PPE is given for the safety of all Mo’ Maids and you! There has been an ongoing cleaning supply shortage and prices are through the roof! I have been to more Costco’s than I can count. For those that have used our services, you know that we provide the elbow grease and the cleaning supplies.
We are OSHA CERTIFIED for COVID-19 and I am looking to do a lot more training! We are currently in the process of licensing, branding, trademarking and going to online systems! I am also getting assistance from some of the best in the industry. However, these are all very costly and I am doing everything that I can to keep pricing down for all clients - new and existing
This fundraiser will go towards the following:
#1 costs accrued during the pandemic via payroll, rent, etc. we are “the little guy” and it’s not easy competing with the larger corporations
#2 licensing, bonding, and insurance
#3 trainings - covid and non covid related
#4 cleaning supplies and PROPER PPE
#5 zenmaid online scheduling system and all training associated with it and other software systems to make our processes easier for you! (ClickUp and Quickbooks to name a few)
#6 hiring and growth! I don’t enjoy having waiting lists but we are just human
#7 lawyer and attorney fees and all taxes that are associated with small businesses in Chicago (it’s not cheap)
#8 a website! An actual website. Not just our Facebook page
#9 if possible - a virtual assistant to better help run the office side of things
#10 any and everything else that comes along with owning and running a small business in Chicago!
They say 93% of small businesses fail within their first 3 years. I am grateful to be coming up on year 8 but I do need your help to keep moving forward. Covid almost killed us, but it didn’tand now, I am fighting back.
