We are raising money to get food and supplies to rural tribes being affected by Covid 19 in Northern California.
The daily life of tribes is already negatively impacted by capitalism and colonialism. The conditions needed to live with the new virus make getting resources to homes even more difficult, especially as most needed items, like bulk food, are not locally available and cost more. Thank you for supporting, all proceeds of this fundraiser will go directly to purchasing supplies for our tribes on the norcal coast. If we can fundraise more we will distribute to other tribal communities.
** Fundraising note: We have made 2 food distributions to Point Arena Manchester Pomo and plan to expand to neighboring tribes per demand. We have also used a portion of the proceeds to support Ya Ka Ama's greenhouse and garden project, with plans to provide more permanent food starts in addition to our food distributions. **
