Covers for a Cause Fundraiser for Sophie's Hope: Cure GSD1b
Donation protected
For the next two and a half months, Covers for a Cause will be raising money for Sophies Hope Foundation. Sophie’s Hope Foundation’s mission is to cure GSD1b. The foundation was started by Jamas and Margot LaFreniere after their daughter, Sophie, was diagnosed in September of 2019 at the age of 2 with Glycogen Storage Disease Type 1b (GSD1b). GSD1b is an ultra-rare genetic disease that has no FDA-approved treatments and is life-threatening. The foundation is based in Hopkinton, MA and is a fully registered 501c3 charitable organization. Our 3 areas of focus are:
1. Driving Research through funding, coordination, and collaboration
2. Raising Awareness globally among the general population, governments, pharmaceutical industry, and regulatory bodies
3. Supporting Patients and Caregivers through community building and education
On October 5th, from 1:00 to 5:00, we will have our Covers for a Cause kickoff event at Wojicks Farm. All proceeds will go directly to Sophie's Hope Foundation. Between now and October 5th, Covers for a Cause will be raising money for Sophie's Hope with shows at:
Rushford and Sons Brewing - September 6th, 5:00-8:00
Wojicks Farm - September 28th, 11:00-2:00
Tangerini's Farm - September 29th, 11:00-2:00
Please remember that every dollar counts, and if you aren't able to make any of our shows, please consider donating what you can. Thank you so much!
