This is an unusual step for me to take. I am not someone who has ever had to ask friends or the public for help, but here we are. For those of you who know me well, I have been fighting this battle to hold someone accountable for years of sexual misconduct towards me. I have pursued every possible avenue I could think of until I had to go public with my story in August 2023, facing possible defamation and ruin.

After I went public, I was connected to Gillian Hnatiw (a lawyer based in Toronto) who is willing to help me pursue a civil suit. This means that once I file, the media will finally be able to report on what has happened to me. The lawsuit is not about money, it is about justice, and fighting a broken system that protects predatory behaviour.

I need to raise $2500 to cover the initial costs and another $7500 to fund the additional fees related to filing the suit. We do not have this money readily available to us so I am going to create this GoFundMe in the hopes I can raise the money.
