On August 21, 2025, we said goodbye to our Grandma Emily — a feisty, stubborn, wonderful old lady who lived life exactly how she wanted. She wore flip-flops every day, even in the dead of winter, and never let anyone tell her how to live. If you truly knew her, you knew she didn’t want a traditional funeral — just to be cremated and passed along to the loved ones who meant the most to her.

She passed peacefully, with her feet uncovered and the room cold — exactly how she would’ve wanted it.

As we begin to process this loss, we’re also facing the financial burden that comes with it. This fundraiser will help our family cover the cost of her cremation, outstanding medical bills, and some ongoing monthly expenses that she helped support.
