Covering funeral and medical expenses

Florentin Amador passed away after 5 weeks of battling COVID-19. For those that got to know him, knew him as a kind, hardworking and a very happy individual. Florentin left behind his wife Marta, his daughters Isabel, Gabriela, Diana, and his son Juan Jose.

Florentin, a native from Nicaragua, served during the 1970 Nicaraguan Revolution, in the revolution against the Somoza dictatorship. After being captured, he was imprisoned and then granted residency as a refugee to the United States. In 1990, Florentin began his American dream in San Antonio, Texas, and after a few months moved to South Sioux City, NE, where he resided and began his family.

Florentin always appreciated the opportunities that the United States gave to him and instilled them in his children. He always enforced the importance of taking advantage of being able to live in this country and to achieve all the dreams his children put their minds to. In whatever setting he was in, he continuously bragged about his children's accomplishments, especially academic achievements. All of his 4 children were able to receive full-ride scholarships to any Nebraska University and that was an accomplishment not only for them but for himself.

Florentin was always selfless, as he always worried that his family was always taken care of and their needs were being met.

We hope that whatever contribution can be made can aid his family in covering funeral and medical expenses.

We appreciate it all, from the bottom of our hearts.
