On May 28th, 2022, Nicholas D. Suggs passed away at the young age of 24. Nicholas was a Texas State University student, president of a student organization, a veteran, owner of his own clothing brand and so much more. Nicholas was always the life of the party and the one who you could depend on. He had an outgoing personality that drew you to him every time.

 

The circumstances surrounding his death have been confusing. On May 21st, 2022, his mother received a phone call from his ex-girlfriend that he had been in a car accident. Allegedly, while experiencing a severe asthma attack, Nicholas attempted to drive himself to urgent care at 3 am. Witnesses say Nicholas crashed into the side of the urgent care after he passed out. Medics implied that Nicholas had lost consciousness because of the lack of air moving in his chest, causing him to have seizures. After losing consciousness, medics performed resuscitation for 30 minutes. Resuscitation was successful and Nicholas was transported to a larger hospital, on a ventilator. Nicholas stayed on the ventilator until his death on May 28th, 2022.

 

Nicholas battled with asthma his whole life. He had become an expert on what to do when he had an attack, which is why the circumstances of his death have been so confusing for family and friends. His ex-girlfriend and friends haven’t been forthcoming as to the events leading up to and after his death. His family suspects foul play and have filed reports and asked many questions only to be ignored by San Marcos Police. His family wants justice for Nicholas. He served in the military and was honorably discharged but did not have his life insurance policy. Nicholas’ family is asking for donations at this time to help with the funeral costs and any additional expenses. Please donate what you can and they will forever be grateful. Nicholas was the founder and creator of Humble Riches. He made shirts, hats, hoodies, etc., and had dreams of creating more. Humble Riches was created with the concept of remaining humble no matter what riches you have gained. Nicholas’ life was a testament to this motto.
