Cover the cost of specialized lense implant

So as some know I developed a cataract in my only eye. So I basically can't see anything that isn't right in front of me. On the 12th of May I had a surgery to fix this issue with a lense implant into my eye scheduled, however  I could not go through with it because of the cost. Here's the catch. The procedure is 100% covered by my medicaid/medicare HOWEVER my astigmatism is so severe that I require a specialized lense to be put in. This lense will allow me to see without glasses for the first time in my entire life. I'll still be legally blind because I have such limited visual field but what I do have will be clear for once and I'll easily be able to wear sun glasses and safety goggles and such finally.

The issue is it costs $1500 up front before the day of the surgery or they will basically just put in a clear lense and send me on my way. So one last time I'm asking you all to share this around.
