Help cover the cost of Dixie's heartworm treatment

Dixie was dumped on a cold, snowy day in January. When she made it to the shelter she was very underweight at only 43 pounds, and she was also heartworm positive. Neither of those things affected her wonderful personality. She was immediately a friendly and loving girl to all the volunteers and other shelter dogs.

After being at the shelter for almost two months, she's an even happier girl, who has put on some weight, and been spayed. Now, she's ready to start her heartworm treatments, but it's a large cost, especially for a shelter that runs completely on volunteers and donations. Five hundred dollars would go a long way towards covering the cost of her treatments, and both Dixie and the shelter volunteers would be all smiles if we could hit our goal.
