Our family dog, Sheila, was 10 years and 8 months old. She was our baby—a teacup Maltese with such a sassy, loving attitude. She's been a light in our lives, loving us so much unconditionally. Sometimes, we think she was sent to us to open and expand all of our hearts to show us what unconditional love is. After all, she was born on the perfect day, love day—Valentine's Day; she truly was here to show us what it means to love and be loved.
Even though she's a lover girl, she also was a warrior. Her journey hasn't been easy, but she's always fought so hard to be in our lives, to stay healthy and strong. Since she's been in our lives, she's had to endure overcoming getting a tumor removed, having her whole uterus removed as an adult, and several seizure/stroke-like symptoms. It's a lot for a tiny dog like her to go through so much health-wise but Sheila has always fought like a warrior to come back. However up to her last few days, she developed pancreatitis that exacerbated her neurological issues. In her final 12 hours, she suffered from a seizure and a stroke. She fought to stay here longer, but her last moments were taken on 10/13/24 at 5:08 am. We're asking to please help us cover her final hospital bills and cremation costs which is roughly $3,300. Thank you for reading and being here in this space with us. Thank you for any contribution towards our cause.
Who would have thought a little 5 lb Maltese could change our lives with her cute eyes and bow legs. She was our angel on earth with us and now, she's our guardian angel on the other side.
Thank you Sheila for being with us here for as long as you could have been. We love you, Sheila.
