My name is Gale, and I never imagined I would be in a position to ask for help like this. I am a very private and prideful person, but right now my family is facing a devastating and unimaginable situation, and I cannot… we cannot do this alone.

My son Santana is only 20 years old. He is a sophomore in college, a dedicated student who takes pride in maintaining excellent grades and building a future for himself. He is kind, driven, respectful, and deeply loved by everyone who knows him. He is truly a good young man with so much life ahead of him.

On February 26, 2026, our family suffered the heartbreaking loss of his grandmother, someone who meant the world to him. Just weeks later, on March 17, we gathered to celebrate her life. We flew Santana home so he could be with family, grieve, and honor her.

Tragically, shortly after, on March 23, 2026, Santana was involved in a horrific car accident. He collided with a tree and sustained a traumatic brain injury along with severe spinal injuries. He was airlifted from the crash site in North Carolina to a hospital in South Carolina. He has fractured five vertebrae, including the most concerning at T-12 and C-7, and injured three additional vertebrae less critical. He is currently in the ICU, intubated, and fighting for his life. While doctors have stabilized him for now, the extent of his injuries and the road to recovery remain uncertain.

As his mother, I have rushed to be by his side in South Carolina, and I plan to stay here for as long as he needs me. At this moment, I have no place to stay and no way of knowing how long this journey will be. Once Santana is stable, we will also face the challenge of safely transporting him home to California without causing further harm, which will be a significant and costly process.

This is the hardest moment of our lives. The emotional toll is overwhelming, and the financial burden ahead is something we simply cannot carry alone. I truly hate to ask as I always think I can do it on my own… but I know I simply cannot. This is too much to bear, and the long-term prognosis and indefinite future is just unimaginable.

If you are able, I humbly ask for your support. No amount is too small. Even a single dollar, a prayer, or simply sharing this page with others would mean more than I can express.

In this time of crisis, I am leaning on the strength of community, compassion, and faith. If you have a dollar to spare, supporting the Jackson family in this hour of need would be deeply appreciated.

Thank you for your kindness, your prayers, and your support.

With love and gratitude,

The Jackson Family

UPDATE on SANTANA:

With a grateful heart, I want to share an update on my son Santana.

Today has been a very long and emotional day, but we are holding on to faith and the small victories. Santana underwent a craniotomy as doctors worked to relieve pressure and address his traumatic brain injury. He also had major spinal surgery to stabilize three of his fractured vertebrae, T11, T12, and L1. By the grace of God, we were told that he did well during this surgery.

While we are thankful for how he made it through today, Santana still has a long road ahead. He is scheduled for another spinal surgery tomorrow to address an additional injury at C7 in his neck. The medical team will also be placing an IVC filter to help prevent dangerous blood clots during his recovery.

Santana remains in the ICU, intubated, and under close monitoring. There is still so much uncertainty, but we are taking this one moment at a time and trusting God every step of the way.

As his mother, I am here by his side and will continue to stay with him for as long as he needs me. Your prayers, support, and generosity have meant more to our family than I can ever express. In one of the darkest moments of our lives, your kindness is helping carry us through.

If you are able to continue sharing Santana’s story or contribute in any way, we are deeply grateful. Every prayer, every dollar, and every act of support truly matters.

Thank you for standing with Santana and our family.
