Rick Gonzales was a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.  Rick suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm on 2/12/21 and was immediately rushed to a Phoenix, AZ-area hospital for treatment.  Due to the nature of his brain injury, he needed to be evacuated by air to another local hospital where proper treatment could be delivered.  He was treated by neurologists on an emergency basis, leaving no time or option for the family to plan his care and select in-network providers covered by his health insurance.

Rick remained in the hospital and fought for his life in the ICU for the following 10 days, ultimately losing his battle and going home to our Lord on 2/22/21 at the young age of just 51.

Rick's wife - Tricia - and his children -Krysten, Ricky, and Matthew - are left with large medical bills that will cause Tricia great difficulty.

This fundraiser is being organized by Rick's best friend Peter in order to help alleviate Tricia's burden in this time and defray the cost of Rick's final expenses.  The funds will be given directly to Rick's wife to use for those purposes, with any excess funds being used to cover the loss of Rick's income and/or donated to a charity of the Gonzales family's choosing.
