Help for Holly Dolly

Hi my name is Joshua Bayless da Costa, I'm starting this gofundme on behalf of my family to support my little sister Holly. She was in a terrible car wreck a week ago in Fairbanks Alaska where she broke 8 ribs, punctured a lung and fractured her neck and back in multiple places.

The severity of her injuries required her to be medivacced from Fairbanks to Anchorage where she underwent 30 hours of surgery over the weekend. Thankfully responders and the talented medical staff were successful in their efforts and she is beginning her long road to recovery.

We are so incredibly lucky and grateful to still have her with us but only three days in her medical bills have already exceeded a $500,000. Our family is doing everything we can to help her with those expenses but we are seeking assistance with her rent payments until she is well enough to be discharged from the hospital.

It's unknown how long she will have to remain at the hospital, it could be several months until she is in stable enough condition to continue her recovery at home. 100% of the funds will be given to Holly to be spent maintaining her bills and to ensure she has somewhere to go after the hospital releases her.

Holly had recently moved to Alaska and got her very first place and we are humbly asking for any help we can get to prevent her eviction while she is bedridden. She is such an amazing person, a wonderful sister, daughter and aunt who loves her family and dog Daisy to the moon and back. There's not much I can do all the way from Washington but I know having the little home she's made waiting for her after a long and painful recovery would mean the absolute world to her.
