Cover Medical Expenses for my Nephew

My nephew Mario Escamilla was assaulted back on July 6, 2023, in which he suffered many facial / jaw fractures and severe head trauma and had to be flown out to UNM hospital the following day. He has been in the ICU since that day. During this time, for the past 3 weeks, he has had brain swelling, suffered a stroke, and been on a feeding tube and breathing machine. Just this past Tuesday his condition finally started to improve and over the weekend was moved to a long-term rehabilitation facility to start gaining function in his head, arms and legs. He is experiencing severe memory loss and is not sure if he will gain full recovery or how long after the rehab/ if he will be able to return to work. The insurance company has notified the family they will only pay a percentage of medical expenses and he will have many continuous follow-up appointments now and after he is released from the facility.
