My name is Danielle, on January 1st, 2023 in a senseless and unexpected moment my daughter was shot 2 times while checking her vehicle for damage after losing control on an icy road. While she was out of her vehicle and on the phone with me I heard gunshots and my daughter screaming that she had been shot and begging for help. She was shot one time in each leg and will be in the hospital for an unknown time as she heals and begins the process of being able to walk and gain mobility. My daughter is a hard worker and in her senior year of high school, she works 30+ hours a week in a position that requires standing 100% of the time. It may be months before she can return to her normal routine of driving, working and being self reliant again.

I have a full time job which helps provide for our family expenses including medical insurance and living expenses. Because of the severity of the injuries my daughter sustained and the trauma she is and will experience from this random act of violence, I am and will be spending countless hours with my daughter to help her manage recovery, coping and daily tasks.

*UPDATE* The suspect has been arrested and charges are pending at this time.

Any help will be more than greatly appreciated and will be used to help with any out of pocket medical expenses and basic living expenses that are being lost as I focus on being available for my daughter as much as I possibly can.
