Hi, My name is Tom McGee and I am the son-in-law of Daryl and Kim Lord. I am married to Allyson, 1 of Daryl's 6 children. Although I have the honor of starting this GoFundMe page, I'm simply one of many who would gladly take on this task.

Approximately 2 months ago, Daryl was diagnosed with Metastatic Cancer. It has since been specifically defined as an aggressive form of Stage 4 Metastatic Lung Cancer. The Lords have been seeking treatment from the moment of the initial diagnosis. Since then, they have been completely consumed with all of the work and endless attention required to manage every aspect of Daryl's care. The out-of-pocket costs to diagnose and treat this cancer are astronomical. The medical bills are piling up and this will continue at an exponential pace for the foreseeable future. The diagnosis itself is enough to try and manage on its own, but when the financial component explodes, it is truly overwhelming.

My request is simple and sincere. Would you consider donating to this account to help alleviate some of the financial strain Daryl and Kim are experiencing? If so, the process is self-explanatory.

Although I do not know what the total cost will be, I'm certain that every penny (and more) will be needed over the next year or so. I've set the goal at $250K. As we learn more, I'll update the goal accordingly.
