My name is Katie and I’m raising funds for a dear friend of mine that is battling an aggressive form of cancer.

I’ve seen communities come together and do pretty remarkable things- and there is no one that deserves it more than Melissa. ❤️

Let’s come together to help someone that would help anyone in anyway that she could.

I am hoping that the funds raised can be used to help her and her family finically with the sudden and unexpected medical bills, transportation and any extra costs to relieve some of the stress this family has/is experiencing.

Heres Melissa’s story:

In early September Melissa was diagnosed with non small cell lung cancer, it then spread to the brain..after recent scans it showed that it had spread again to the other lung as well as some lymph nodes.

She is undergoing treatment. She does 10 brain treatments to determine what the next steps will be. She will do 2 different types of chemo along with immunotherapy all at once every 3 weeks for 6 cycles. It’s a very intense and aggressive treatment but so is the cancer.

Melissa has a household to help maintain and a family to care for while dealing with this illness. She will be off work while undergoing treatment and focusing on her recovering.
