Cover Luca's Emergency Vet costs and Bring Him Home!

Our sweet Luca came into our lives shortly after we lost our first puppy together, Obi, in a very traumatic way. The meaning of the name Luca is "bringer of light," and that's exactly what he did during such a hard time, and many other hard times in our lives. From the little fluff ball he was when we first brought him home, to the big fluffy boy he is now, Luca has been such a joy in our lives. He is the sweetest boy and is a big daddy's boy. Luca has been our medical issue puppy from the start, from ear infections, allergies, G.I. issues, the amount of money we've spent on vet bills, emergency vet visits, prescription diets, etc., could've bought us a brand new car by now.

Our sweet boy has landed himself another multiple-day-long visit to the emergency vet with a flare-up of some serious, undiagnosed G.I. issues he has had a history with. Unfortunately, with G.I. issues, there are so many possible diagnoses, and even with tons of tests, it's been a challenge to figure out exactly what is wrong with him. He is slowly improving, but he is still not back to 100%, and we aren't sure if he's healthy enough to come home yet without having to end up back at the emergency vet. We want to ensure that he can get the treatment he needs for as long as he needs until he can safely come home. If you have pets, you know how expensive vet care can be to begin with. If you've ever had a pet end up at the emergency vet, you know that the bill can total in the thousands very quickly.

I've been between full-time jobs since the middle of July. I've been working part-time at our gym and collecting what little unemployment is offered by the state, and we've been doing what we can to make it financially in the meantime. I've finally been able to secure a full-time job, but I'm not set to start for another week. We've been able to maintain our lives financially the past couple of months, but with limited income, that means no money to put aside in savings for situations like this. We will always do what we can to make sure our pets can get the care that they need, but with an unexpected, emergency situation like this, we are getting close to our limit.

Luca has been my best furry friend for several years now and he has helped me through some very dark times. I would sell a kidney (if I had more than one) to ensure he can get the best treatment and we can figure out what his diagnosis is so we can treat it appropriately moving forward. If you know me, you know that I'm never one to ask for any kind of help, but if I have to ask for help to help my Luca, I will.

Anything you are willing or able to offer is appreciated more than you know. All funds will go towards Luca's emergency vet bills, which are already totaling a few thousand dollars, and his follow-up care with our primary vet.
