Hello, I am organizing a fundraiser for my best friends family, the Taucher's. Rick Taucher's home caught fire the morning of December 20th, just days before Christmas. Thankfully both Rick and his son made it out of their home ok. The fire originated upstairs beside the bedroom of Rick's son, causing him to lose his clothing and belongings. There is a lot of damage to the home, not only from the fire itself, but from the water and foam used by the many responding fire departments who put out the fire (a big thank you to those who responded and put out the fire before the situation ended worse!) Along with losing essential items, they have undoubtedly lost an immeasurable amount of sentimental items. I'd like to organize this fundraiser to help cover items of immediate need and to help ease the burden of them being displaced from their home. We all know how long insurance claims can take, along with all of the sentimental value that could never be covered through a claim. The money donated through this platform will be directly collected by Tricia Herron, Rick's daughter. Rick is employed at Ventra Salem. Any cash donations by coworkers can be collected by myself, Lindsay Iler (Dayshift Baseclear Dept) or my fiance Ryan Meade (Dayshift Baseclear Dept) and be delivered to them. Thank you!
