To help cover funeral expenses for Mike Barnett

It’s with a heavy heart that we share the sad news that Mike Barnett, (our former Program Volunteer Manager at CASA of Polk County, Inc.) lost his courageous battle with cancer Wednesday, May 10.

Mike made an immeasurable impact on the children that are in the foster care system due to abuse and neglect. He was also an intricate part of growing the CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) Program over the last 14 years.

Mike leaves us with a legacy of love and hope that we will come together and continue to fight for our most vulnerable children!

With the support of his family and friends, he fought hard to the very end, yet was at peace upon his passing.

He was loved by many and will truly be missed. Please join us in lifting Mike’s family up in your positive thoughts and prayers. If you can donate please do so. The family needs to raise $7,500 by Wednesday, May 24 towards the cost of the funeral.

Mike’s service will be held at Restlawn Memory Gardens & Funeral Home at 11am on Saturday, June 3rd. We invite you to join us to honor this amazing man!
