Cover funeral cost and Family

Hi my name is Fatima Lopez Sosa and sharing my brothers journey these last couple of days.

My brother, Rodman David Lopez had been in the hospital since November 14. He was covid positive upon admittance and had to gradually be put on oxygen because his oxygen levels were really low. He was put on a BiPAP machine and that was really hard on him. He didn’t tell me or my parents, but I knew he was scared. He had really bad anxiety and was terrified of being in the hospital. He was feeling better and actually tested COVID negative for the remainder of his stay in ICU. On November 25th, he was put on a ventilator because his oxygen levels were too low and his lungs couldn’t keep up. On the 26th, he had to be put on hemodialysis because his CO2 levels were too high and his blood was too acidic. On the 30th his pneumothorax got significantly worst and they had to put an additional chest tube. Unfortunately, around this time medical discovery some internal bleeding that ultimately resulted in his death this morning.

This morning at 4:00 am, we got a phone call that he was deteriorating really fast and we rushed to the hospital to be with him. He gained his angel wings at 7:55 am. He leaves 2 kids behind and his wife.

We are having this fundraiser to help with the funeral cost and for his wife and kids as they transition to being in the United States. We never thought this would happen and unfortunately did not plan for this. If there is any help you can provide to help us arrange his celebration of life, we would really appreciate it.
