My name is Erik. I'm 62 yrs old. I used to be an owner-operator truck driver until the engine blew up. I started driving as an employee. Exactly a month after that, my wife was murdered by a drunk driver. Exactly one month after that, I was the victim of a hit-and-run driver. 3 months after that, I had to move out of that house. A year after that, I was diagnosed with a spinal condition called spondylolisthesis grade 1. I no longer have health insurance. I cannot work anymore. Unemployment has run out. I don't know what I'm going to do. I'm never going to be able to work again because of my spondylolisthesis spinal condition that severely limits my ability to walk, stand, or pick up any amount of weight. It has already progressed beyond the described symptoms of grade 1. In the last two years I've been living off of what was supposed to be my retirement. I won't be able to receive Social Security until I'm 67 years old. I'm out on the street. I don't want to die homeless after working all of these years.
