On Tuesday October 7th, 2025, Gage took his eldest ferret, Ghost, into the vet. It was found that Ghost had complications due to cancer that had overtaken his lungs, and it was the best decision to allow Ghost to cross over the Rainbow Bridge. This was fairly unexpected news, as we knew he was aging, but we were unaware of the cancer.

Ghost was Gage’s best little buddy. The emotional toll on him during this time is incredibly heartbreaking. It was his second ferret, and he had him for most of Ghost’s long, happy life. I created this fundraiser to help cover the costs of Ghost being put down and cremated, as Gage is a wonderful soul, and is so generous to everyone, and I believe this extra support will help him as we move forward as a three ferret household.
