Our sweet girl Booker has been diagnosed with a brain tumor and we've been told that she may not make it through the year. On January 22, Booker had a seizure. Since then, she has had eight other seizures, making nine total in the span of only two weeks. Concerned, Lianne and Nisha took Booker to the vet ($300), including an emergency appointment ($900), where they performed a variety of tests, culminating in an MRI ($4800) that found a mass in her brain. The total amount is steep, and Lianne and Nisha anticipate spending additional money this year on medications, vet visits, and some alternative therapies (resonant healing and acupuncture).

2025 has so far been rough for Lianne and Nisha: Nisha's community was directly impacted by the LA fires that started January 7th; our cat Ollie suddenly died on January 14th (which came with $2000 in vet costs including emergency visits, euthanasia, and cremation); and Nisha and Lianne, as federal employees, are facing potential job instability.

It would make a world of difference if our community could help us get through this difficult time by helping us cover these expensive vet bills.
