Cover Bessie's bills during skull surgery

Hi, I'm Kimra. One of my besties and fellow activist comrades, Bessie, is about to undergo a serious surgery on her skull. Bessie is the original founder of Idaho Abortion Rights and due to health issues, including a leaky brain, she had to step back from the collective so she could get her health taken care of and find the root of her health issues. Bessie was recently able to fly to Denver to get proper brain scans and the doctors discovered multiple brain fractures. Bessie continued to fight for disabled peoples' rights in Idaho, showing up to testify during the recent legislative session, among other fights, all while going through health issues.

Now Bessie needs our community help.

Bessie is undergoing treatment for multiple fractures in her sinuses that are a result of a domestic violence incident in 2010 where her ex-husband threw a coffee cup at their face. She will be in Denver for this, away from her kids.

The surgery will be a skull based surgery done endoscopically. This surgery will be repairing a fracture in her right frontal sinus bone, suspected multiple defects in the crista galli (already there likely since birth) fracture in her right ethmoid bone, and bilateral fractures in the clinoid process of her sphenoid skull base... then the doctor will be fixing the multiple cranial CSF leaks associated with these fractures.

After that they will do a sphenoidectomy, ethmoidectomy, and right front sinusotomy, also fixing something to do with a widening of the lateral olfactory lamella, doing a diagnostic lumbar puncture, probably before all of this to check on their pressure to try to confirm or rule out this compression issue and see if further surgery is warranted on her styloids due to jugular compression since I tested positive for eagles syndrome on both sides, and a rotation of her c1 causing intercranial hypertension. These things might require a lengthier procedure or an additional procedure.

Her doctor is calling my surgery a result of traumatic injury and will be approaching it this way.

This is major surgery. And there may be more surgeries after this.

Funds will help her husband be able to stay with her longer in Denver and help ensure that her family bills are covered.

Bessie has three kids, two who are high needs, with therapy and helpers.

Funds will help cover childcare and meals for the kids during surgery and while she is recovering.
