Covahgin and Moose Ranch flood prep & evacuation

Hey there! Covahgin (me!) and the Moose Ranch need assistance getting ready for the impending flood and evacuation. There are quite a few vehicles, trailers, boats rvs and other large items in the path of the river and potential overflow. We are hoping to mitigate any environmental impacts as well as preserve my childhood home.

I and my partners and friends have been working on cleaning the property over the past few years. I moved down last year and have been working on also getting gardens going. Providing a space for creative endeavors and reviving this Indigenous land has been a driving force.

A state of emergency has been declared for our area and my tribe has helped with making sure the house is sandbagged and somewhat covered in plastic. The banks that border the property are eroding quite a bit and many square feet have already been lost. The river rises daily and the height has not been observed like this in many decades.

I am raising money to get things moved and when the banks to spill over our evacuation and subsequent accommodations. Anything remaining will be used for the cleanup afterwards.

I have invited so many people to visit me here on the ranch and those that have taken me up in it have seen what a special place this is. This is not just my childhood home but also the dreams for the future.
