I am starting this for Courtney as she is too modest to ask for herself. But any little bit of help we can get her is amazing!  

Courtney’s update:
Flea took a kick to the jaw, and it is shattered. The surgeon in PEI can't reconstruct it because there are too many fractures. Her xray looks like a spiders web. 

Flea might not make it. We can't open her mouth to see if there are any open fractures that would result in a bone infection, which would be fatal.

But there is a small chance she could survive, and we are trying.

My little bug is in for a long hard road of liquid feed, antibiotics, and painkillers. If no infection develops she could pull through but it will be months. Any sign of infection and we will have to say goodbye.

Anyone who has met her knows she is the sweetest thing on four legs. And anyone who knows me knows I will go to the end of the earth for her so long as she won't be in pain.
