Courtney's Courageus Battle

In 2006 Courtney was diagnosed with Brain Cancer.  She underwent brain surgery, chemo, and radiation.  She was cancer free until March 2017 when her annual MRI showed the cancer had returned.  Surgery this time was not an option but she did receive chemo and radiation.  The chemo and radiation proved unsuccessful this time.  She was given the opportunity to participate in a drug trial for cancer patents in Maryland at NIH.  After 9 months   (January 2019) she asked for a brain biopsy to determine if the trial was working….sadly, it wasn’t.  Courtney returned home to face the reality there was nothing more that could be done for her.  She was moved to hospice in mid-February and passed away on February 27th.  

Courtney was a mother, sister, grandmother, daughter, niece, aunt, and friend to many.  We are asking that you donate any amount of money to help provide support to her children, Javier (17) and Bela (14).  The donated money will help with living expenses, medical bills, and college funds for the Javier and Bela.
