Courtney Lake was a wife, mama, friend, and labor and delivery nurse at Legacy Good Sam Hospital. She had the sweetest human being and her smile lit up a room. She was selfless, pure, and a fierce advocate for others.
On March 14th at 27 weeks pregnant with her third baby, our sweet Courtney had a stroke at home. She was taken to the hospital and admitted to the Neurotrauma unit at Emanuel. She recovered and was eventually moved to the Rehab unit at Good Sam. She was making a remarkable recovery and was planning on being discharged home on April 8th to continue therapy at home.
On the morning of April 7th, our sweet Courtney and her baby girl passed away unexpectedly. We are all devastated and heartbroken. She leaves behind her husband Tim, her children Daisy and Emory, her parents and brother, and many other family and friends.
We hope to raise money to help relieve the financial burden from Tim and family for funeral costs. If you would like to help her and her family, anything is appreciated.
