Chasing Light with Courtney: Support Her Fight
Courtney Grumney is many things - a daughter, big sister, loyal friend, dancer, dog mom, Boston sports fan, ocean lover, and adventurer. If you know Courtney, you know she’s fierce, vibrant, and unapologetically herself. Whether she’s cheering for the Red Sox, dancing her heart out, or finding calm at the beach, Courtney shows up with grit, loyalty, and joy. She’s the kind of person who never backs down from a challenge, and now she’s facing one of her biggest yet.
On May 22, 2025, Courtney received a life-altering diagnosis: Stage 2, Grade 3 Triple Positive Invasive Ductal Carcinoma—an aggressive form of breast cancer. Her treatment plan is equally intense: six chemotherapy infusions over 18 weeks, followed by surgery, radiation, and recovery beyond that.
Courtney began chemotherapy on July 17, and she is facing this frightening journey with courage, humor, and the same fierce spirit she applies to every part of her life.
We are raising funds to help Courtney with:
- Medical expenses not covered by insurance
- Lost income from necessary time off work
- Basic needs like groceries and meals while undergoing treatments which will encompass chemo, radiation, surgery, and recovery.
- Repairs to her car, so she can safely get to treatments
This is about helping Courtney keep her world afloat during a time when she needs to put her full energy toward healing.
Courtney has an incredible support system, and we’re calling on anyone who’s been touched by her warmth, wit, or strength. Whether you’ve danced beside her, worked with her, or simply shared a laugh, your support means everything.
What she needs most right now is patience, good vibes, prayers, and encouragement. If you’ve gone through something similar or just want to send a little love, she’d love hearing from you.
Thank you for reading, donating, or simply keeping her in your thoughts. Let’s help Courtney keep dancing, keep dreaming, and keep fighting like hell—with stars, light, and all the heart of a true New Englander.
