Courney (CC) Henderson has just learned that she has a very aggressive form of breast cancer. She was told two weeks ago that she needed surgery immediately, but after meeting with the surgeon, she was told that she would have to undergo chemo before surgery can be considered.

Last month, CC had to have a blood clot surgically removed from her right leg and was out of work for three weeks, depleting her paid time off. As a result, she will have no income for the time she misses work due to the chemo and follow-up surgery. She also has a high-deductible health insurance plan and will have considerable out-of-pocket expenses related to her chemo and surgery.

CC works as a maintenance tech for an RV park and provides for her elderly mother as well as herself. She desperately needs the funds to cover her medical and living expenses during this most difficult time in her life.
