Court costs for Iola Spafford, aged 90

This is probably going to be the strangest crowdfunding request you’ll ever read.
I am trying to raise £10k to pay the court fees so my 90 year old mother can take my brother to court to claim back property and money that he has taken to the value of circa £750k, leaving her with next to nothing but the small flat in which she now lives.
My older brother, my only sibling, abused his Lasting Power of Attorney, managed the sale of the family house, and then instructed the conveyancing solicitors to pay the money into a bank account which he represented to be our mother`s. But it was not. It was his own account.
This took place three years ago, in April 2018. It took Mum until October last year to fully realise the extent of his betrayal. She still can’t really talk about it. It is too painful.
My mother has been let down by many different people claiming to have her best interests at heart.
But we have now found a very talented and successful litigation lawyer, who was so motivated when he learnt the details of what has happened that he has offered to wait until my mother wins her court case against my brother before he charges his fees. A very generous, value-based and much appreciated offer. The lawyer is extremely confident my mother has a strong case and that, finally, my brother will be forced to explain the whereabouts of everything that he took from my mother, to return the money which belongs to her and to answer for his actions.
My brother has already been served with a letter of demand from the lawyer representing my mother on 13th April 2021. My brother was given 7 days to respond. So far, he has ignored it.
My mother is elderly, but she is still in good health and mind. She knows what has happened and is devastated and worried about her future. Her father lived until he was 104. Her mother well into her 90’s. We need to put things right.
Please, if you can help to fund these court costs, my mother (and I) would so appreciate it. It is time some people gave her a reason to believe that most people are good, and not just out to look after themselves.
My mother and I also have the advantage of free legal advice and support from a friend who is now retired but had 40 years` of litigation experience with a leading national law firm. He believes strongly in my mother`s case and is willing to make £2,000 available to get the fund started. He has suggested that a suitable incentive for those willing to help would be a 50% success fee to be paid when there is a recovery of funds from my brother. So, if you invest £1,000 you would recover £1,500 when money is recovered. I hope this will make this a profitable exercise for those willing to help.
