The primary goals of this project include:
- make the course more beginner friendly
- redirect fairways through existing mature trees
- reduce the amount of walking up hills/berms
- maintain/enhance the uniqueness of the property and the "bomber course" identity
These goals will be accomplished by:
- adding 18 new baskets (allowing for a permanent short and long basket on each hole).
- adding shorter basket locations on most holes (reducing the "all short" layout by over 1,300 feet).
- extending several of the long basket locations (increasing the "all long" layout to over 10,400 feet).
- relocating 4 tee pads (directing the fairways through unused wooded sections of the course, and between some berms, rather than over them).
- adding over 100 new trees (enhancing the beauty and providing fun/evolving course challenges).
Funds will help with expenses such as:
- new baskets and the required hardware (sleeves, pins, locks, etc.)
- new signs (tee signs, course layout, "next tee" signs, etc.)
- marquee near hole 1 (for course layout, educational info, flyers, etc.)
- landscaping
