HELP US IN ASSISTING CHRISTIAN FINISH THE RACE!!
** We will now have Corn Hole, Washers, & a "Closest to The Pin" chipping hole set up at the party.
#Courage4Cooper is for Christian Cooper, a 24 year old Hoover, AL native who on February 27, 2016 was in a horrific single car accident. His car caught fire and Christian sustained deep 3rd degree burns to over 75% of his body. Christian is an incredible son, brother and friend to so many people.

Fortunately, Christian Cooper was accepted at the absolute best burn unit in the country at The Joseph M. Still Burn Unit in Augusta, GA. ALL dollars from this event that are not used for hosting the Party will be donated directly to The Cooper family to help cover medical costs for the recovery of our friend Christian. As one of Christian's best & longest friends I will be responsible for making sure that his family gets all excess donations. Christian's sister, Erin, is designated as the beneficiary of the funds raised.
COME WATCH THE RACE ON REDWOOD!

We here on Redwood St. believe that the fastest two minutes in sports shouldn’t limit your pregame time…HOWEVER, we cannot do this without you. A $20 donation is encouraged to attend, but this fundraising party will be what you make it.
Your donation is a 2 sided coin. The more that we can recieve the more The Coopers will recieve for Christian AND the better the Derby Party will be. Add on's for the watch party can be done, but not without your help!
...with that in mind the Derby Day festivities will begin as sharp as a horses hair at 2pm the afternoon of May 7th.
If we can race our way past $3,000 we plan on having plenty of beverages on hand for the big race. On the Derby Drink Leaderboard is the clear favorite Mint Julep fountain, followed closely behind by multiple kegs & plenty of bubbly to help cheer your favorite horse to victory.

Local rockstars JD & The Man will be pumping out live music all day long from the paddock. What’s better than live music & an ice-cold mint julep on a beautiful May afternoon? We will also have Corn Hole, Washers, & a "Closest to The Pin" chipping hole set up.

Let's be honest when we say it wouldn’t be a derby party without some type of wagers. Be sure to bring cash to put your dollars on your favorite horse pairing for an opportunity to split the purse with the other lucky winners. The odds are tight this year currently with Gun Runner & jockey Florent Geroux (with 3 Breeders’ Cup wins already) leading the pack.

Don’t show up looking like a rookie filly or colt. We guarantee you that you will want to be a real American Pharoah . Ladies- put on your finest derby dress & hat on & gentleman dust off the chinos & derby shoes (bowties if you’re feeling like a true American Thoroughbred).
The big race will be shown on a 65” flat screen at 5:34pm CDT with better audio than you could grab inside of the infield at Kentucky Downs. JD & The Man will wrap up play after the race as the sun sets on the Alabama Pines & the horse’s load up into the stables as an incredible 2016 Derby Day comes to a close.

Those who know Christian know that no gift is too small to go unnoticed by him. Please know that, even if you are unable to attend your charitable donation is SO appreciated by Christian & his family.
