My name is Jodi Bernard and I’m helping to raise funds for my dear friend, Ebony’s parents, the DeWitts. Just one year after their son’s sudden death, the DeWitts have now experienced another crushing tragedy. The Eaton firestorm burned their beloved Altadena home of 49 years, along with their two vehicles. The destruction occurred while the DeWitts were away celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary, and they had no opportunity to save anything; no baby pictures, no records, nothing. They’ve just returned to find not only their home, but their entire community burned to the ground.
