Who Let The Dogs Out???

This fundraiser is for a cause and person very dear to my heart, Valerie Colella. But first, a little about me… I have been around the bourbon world for a while now and am blessed to call many of you my friends. Two of my passions are bourbon and dogs, specifically rescuing dogs that can be saved from the cruel world of puppy mills and kill shelters. One of the people in this world that shares these loves is Valerie Colella, who is both a dog and whiskey advocate. She also happens to run the tasting room at Smooth Ambler, one of the best distilaries I know. She defines what is good in this world and it’s time for karma to pay her back….and by karma I mean the whiskey world, aka all of you! See, Val spends her free time rescuing unwanted, dumped, neglected dogs, renting a van and driving them to states that have no kill laws and people that actually want these precious creatures. She is working towards her 501(c)(3) but isn’t quite there yet but the dogs can’t wait. Rather than her give any more of her hard earned money to car rental agencies and struggling to have enough supplies and kennels she deserves her own van and kennels to carry out her work and I intend to make that happen.
