I’m organising a fundraiser at the Fisherman in Fishers Green on the 27th June from 12pm in aid of Isabel Hospice in Welwyn Garden City. I am very fortunate to work for both organisations, and I couldn’t think of a more friendly, welcoming, community focused location to hold a family friendly fundraiser for the most humble and caring charity.
If you have a life-limiting illness, Isabel Hospice can care for you and your family by providing symptom management, palliative care, hospice at home and support for loved ones. All care is free and can be provided in your home, or Isabel’s In-Patient Unit. They work alongside other healthcare providers and aim to increase the number of people they help over the next five years. Most patients have cancer, however, they are now caring for more people with other life-limiting conditions.
Did you know:
£28 could provide 1 hour of inpatient nursing care
£62 could pay for 2 hour Hospice at Home visit
£105 could provide 4 hours of bereavement support to loved ones
£4833 could cover the cost of running the inpatient unit for 24 hours
Unfortunately, Isabel Hospice only receives 33% funding from the government and the rest needs to be raised through fundraising, donations and their shops.
If you are unable to attend the fundraiser, please consider donating what ever you can afford, any amount is appreciated and goes to an amazing cause.
Perhaps you may be interested in volunteering in our friendly head office, caring Inpatient unit or one of our fabulous shops by donating your time? If you are please either contact me directly or email [email redacted].uk
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for your support.
Love Carlene, the Fisherman team and the Isabel Hospice family xx❤️
