Gary & Beth Birr

Anyone who knows anything about Coleman, WI instantly thinks of a quaint little farming community in NE Wisconsin... AND WRESTLING! Coleman is home of the Coleman Cougar Wrestling team and some of the most dedicated fans in the history of the sport.  We are starting this page in support of 2 of the most supportive fans in recent years - Gary & Beth Birr.  Gary and Beth have had multiple sons who have come through the wrestling program at the school and continue to support the team even though their youngest graduated in 2011. 

In 2010, the young men rallied around Gary & Beth's youngest son, Chet. They called themselves the "Band of Brothers" and dedicated their season to Beth to support her and her battle with cancer. That was the first of 3 years in a row that the Cougars brought home a Team State Championship. Beth's battle with cancer still continues and now Gary has recently been diagnosed with stage 4 Melanoma. 

As a show of support and gratitude for their unwavering support for the Cougar wrestling progam; the idea was proposed that as a team and community we come together to do something special for them.  A week long stay in Florida has already been donated to them, but they will need help to cover other expenses. Gary and Beth are looking forward to taking this trip so that they can go to Universal Studios and Epcot Center  and "tour the world" while they are there. Currently, the trip is scheduled for March 22nd-29th, 2015 so that they will be healthy enough to enjoy the trip. 

Any donations you are able to make will go directly to help the Birrs have the vacation of a lifetime. They are two people who are so special to this school and town and could really use our help!
