Our neighbors Katie and Tomas suffered a heartwrenching loss this morning in a fire that engulfed and destroyed the entire house. They had been remodeling it for over a year, and were about ready to move back in. New appliances, doors, flooring, windows and many belongings were destroyed. It looks like insurance won't cover enough.

It is a total loss and they will have to cover demolition and removal as well as a complete rebuild. It is such a loss for them, as they both--but especially Tomas--put so much of their own blood, sweat and tears into working on this house and every special detail.
