Thank you to everyone for the generous donations to Cotton’s end of life needs so far. We continue to seek assistance where possible. As a result, the goal has been lowered to reflect the continued need. When we meet it, we’ll at least be able to cover the main expenses. 

We are asking for donations to cover end of life expenses for Cotton: cremation costs, necessary documents and filing, attorney fees, current and past debts, clean up of her land and trailer, a small storage unit, and disbursement of some personal items. 

Cotton took care of herself until she evidently couldn’t these past few years. The pandemic messed with all of our connections, Cotton included. Consequently, she lived a rather isolated life for the past few years and endured the ravages of dementia on her own. 

Cotton had been a part of the Baltimore, MD women’s community prior to coming out to the west coast, becoming a long time fixture in the southern Oregon women’s community since the late 70s. Cotton served during the Vietnam Era and was proud of her military service.

Internment will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2023, 11:00am at the Roseburg VA Cemetery Pavillon at 1770 W. Harvard Avenue in Roseburg, OR.
