A place of Sanctuary has many guises but for vulnerable young people, this can sometimes be quite simply nature, connection and space.

My colleagues and I, as part of a team, would like to offer an opportunity to our incredible young people that we work with, a week's stay on a working farm in Devon.

Our students are all asylum seekers and refugees seeking refuge in Bristol and beyond. Many live with displacement, many in hotels and temporary accommodation. Home-cooked food is a rarity due to finances and lack of equipment/kitchen provisions.

This trip would offer the opportunity to stay on a working farm, support cleaning and feeding the animals, support farmers on day-to-day roles, walks in the beautiful countryside, connection with each other away from a classroom environment and in nature and finally enjoy wonderful home-cooked meals - three times a day!

Funding in education is always so difficult so we are very appreciative and grateful of any help that can be given.
