Dear COTA members and friends,

Thank you for your continued trust in COTA and your support for our work! As many of you know, the recent outbreak of a novel coronavirus in Wuhan and other regions in China has led to a public health emergency. There is a severe shortage of medical supplies, which include, but are not limited to, N95 masks, disposable medical masks, and goggles. Many hospitals in Hubei Province have openly asked for immediate help via social media. Although many companies and community groups have extended help to Hubei in recent days, the demand for medical supplies has not been fully met. 

As an organization serving the Chinese transportation professionals worldwide, COTA now calls on our members and friends to support Hubei Province and other regions affected by 2019-nCoV. We learned that many of our members and friends are looking for ways to help, but are facing challenges related to the purchase, transportation, customs clearance, storage, and distribution of the medical supplies. Therefore, COTA is now organizing this fundraising event for our members and friends, in which we will collect donations from individuals who want to help and use them for the acquisition of medical supplies.
 
We have approached a few suppliers of the medical supplies in need. In the coming days, we will finalize our orders of urgently needed medical supplies that meet the standards based on our fundraising target and progress. We will cooperate with volunteers in China and abroad to deliver the supplies to government certified recipients (hospitals in the affected region) through reliable logistic channels. We will ensure that all donations arrive at the targeted recipients and your warm care is delivered in an efficient and effective way.
 
All details about the received funds and expenses in the fundraising process will be fully disclosed through the COTA website at http://www.cota-home.org/ , WeChat groups and COTA’s WeChat Official Account (华人海外交通COTA) as soon as possible, to ensure that both the process and the use of funds are open and transparent. COTA will provide a receipt to all donors as a proof for tax deduction. If you are interested in helping COTA in this fundraising event, please also feel free to contact us. 各位COTA会员及朋友，

大家好！感谢各位一直以来对COTA的信任和对我们工作的支持。当前以武汉为首要发生地区的国内疫情非常紧张，医用物资如N95口罩、一次用医用口罩、护目镜等相当匮乏。湖北省多家医院已通过媒体请求物资支援。但由于本次疫情的爆发强度和影响范围很大，全国医用物资需求量过大，物资供应链的产能吃紧。因此，尽管国内各界都在积极踊跃的向湖北提供帮助，医用物资的需求依然未能得到充分满足。

作为一个服务于全球华人的海外交通专业组织，COTA希望号召我们的广大会员和朋友，支援湖北和其他遭受疫情的地区，为共同抗击病情贡献我们的力量！我们了解到，很多我们的会员和朋友此刻也在积极寻找究竟如何能正确高效的为武汉疫情提供帮助，都在关心购买，物流，通关，库存，质量，接受对象等问题。基于此，COTA现面向我们的会员和朋友组织筹款募捐，收集所有想要提供帮助的朋友的善款用于医用物资购买。

我们已经了解一些可靠的医用物资提供商以及库存，并会积极寻找更多可靠的提供商购买急需的符合标准的医用物资。我们将会把所有募捐款项用于购买医用物资，并将协同国内外的志愿者，通过可靠的物资运输途径，将物资运送到官方认可的接受对象手中，让这些物资充分发挥作用，让大家的心意能够准确高效的传达。

所有募捐过程中的收支细节, 我们会在第一时间通过COTA网站 http://www.cota-home.org/ ， 微信群以及微信公众号（华人海外交通COTA）对外公布，保证过程和款项使用的公开透明。COTA也将在收到捐款后向捐款者提供收据，作为捐款人申报个人所得税时的免税依据。同时，我们也欢迎有志于为COTA此次募捐事宜提供帮助的朋友，以及了解可靠物资提供商及运送商信息的朋友，积极与我们联系。让我们一起为抗击疫情献出一份力量！
