I am a public high school theatre arts teacher in Lake Forest, CA. I am raising money for the next school year 2020-2021 for my Theatre Arts Department at El Toro High School.
We do two major productions in the Fall. Each show is put on with students working on stage as well as back stage. This is a positive learning experience that they do for the school and the community.
Costume rentals are the biggest expense that we have. My students have performed for local elementary schools, worked with the junior high and have also performed in competitions.
These funds would be used to costume both my Advanced and my Drama 2 classes. Each class has between 28-32 students. This year, we did Treasure Island and Cinderella. Both shows have extensive costumes that are not easy to come by.
I try to pick shows that the audience knows but are also educational for the performers.
Please donate so that the students can perform for their community and their peers. This would be greatly appreciated and helps with the fostering of the Arts in public schools. Any amount would be greatly appreciated!!
