Costa Rica Mission - Young Adult Service Corps
Donation protected
My name is Mya Little, a recent graduate from the University of Houston with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a member of UH Canterbury. I wanted to share with you an important and exciting development in my life and education. This coming fall, I have been selected to represent the Diocese of Texas through the Episcopal Church Young Adult Service Corps (YASC). I feel humbled to have been invited by the Young Adult Service Corps to participate in a mission trip to San José, Costa Rica, from Fall 2023 through Fall 2024.
Serving within YASC will be an important development for me, and it is a wonderful opportunity to leave a mark through service and to bless others in unexpected ways. During my time in Costa Rica I will be employed at the local church in San Jose under the supervision of Bishop Orlando. In addition, while serving my time in YASC I will be staying in a church-owned dormitory near the Universidad de Costa Rica college campus.
The total cost for me to participate in this mission is $27,000. Of this $27,000, The Episcopal Church covers approximately 90 percent of the total trip, and I am responsible for the remaining $5000. So far, I have raised $750. Would you consider supporting me on this mission with both financial support and prayer? Please know that any contribution will make an important difference.
