Cosmo needs dental surgery!

Cosmo cracked a major tooth several months ago. He has been in a ton of pain and the abscessed tooth has infected his left eye. After multiple veterinary opinions, it was determined that he needed the tooth extracted. It's one of his major crunching teeth so he was referred to a veterinary dental specialist, and we were pretty blindsided with an estimated surgery cost of $4065. He's a very large dog who needs specialized sedation due to being epileptic and on seizure medication. We were able to put in on credit but are not in the best financial position to pay this bill off. We have received a few cash donations already and would like to pay for as much of it as we can ourselves for the time being, hence why we are not asking for the full amount.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Cosmo means the absolute world to us and has touched many lives and made lots of friends in his 6 years, and he's a healthy dog who still has a lot of life to live. Despite the pain he's in, he has remained the goofiest, sweetest, most puppy-like gentle giant you'll ever meet.
He was dropped off 2/6/24 at 7am and is currently undergoing surgery, so the cost is subject to change if there are any complications. I'll be updating with more information as soon as I know the final cost.
**UPDATE**
Cosmo is home and recovering great! As suspected the tooth was pretty seriously abscessed, and he also had another tooth on that side that was pretty much dead and needed to be pulled as well. Final cost came to $3846 so pretty close to the estimate. We have 6 months to pay it off, and at the rate donations are coming in I suspect we won't have an issue making that deadline. Thank you all so much for your ongoing support!
