Lost Everything In A House Fire

Thank God They Were Not Home.
July 5, 2015 was a beautiful day in Chicago.  Most people were enjoying the gorgeous weather, many were still celebrating the Fourth Of July.  Cory and Amy had just left their house an hour before disaster occurred. Some kids were seen in the alley playing with fireworks that afternoon, which is the suspected cause.  Read more HERE .  They lost everything.  EVERYTHING.
It's amazing that no one was injured or killed.  As horrific as it is to lose everything, I am very thankful that they were not home when this happened.   Certainly they would have been instantly killed in the explosion.

When I heard about this I was shocked.  I was just at their place the night before.  When I saw the pictures I sobbed.  Very surreal.  Can you imagine losing everything in the blink of an eye?  It's going to take a bit for it all to sink in.  But I do know that they need immediate assistance.  Somehow they need to rebuild their life.  A place to live is priority number one.  From toothbrushes to clothes to kitchen utensils to irreplacable items such as photos...nothing survived this explosion.

Even if you have never met these people, if you could find it in your heart to donate, even a small amount, it will make a world of difference.  Your donation will go directly to them.  Thank you.
